Party Conferences 2008

The Work Foundation is undertaking a programme of events at each of the three main party conferences for Autumn 2008. The Autumn should be a very interesting time, politically, with a general election potentially nine months hence, a resurgent Tory party, a vigorous new leader of the Liberal Democrat party and a struggling Labour Government. As such the Work Foundation is holding a programme of events which continue to push its Good Work campaign messages as well as tapping in to the political moment.

Structure
The Work Foundation is running events from Sunday evening through to Wednesday. The events will be a mixture of formats from classic fringes to ‘in conversations’. We have reserved rooms in the Town Hall at Manchester, inside the main conference venue at Birmingham and in the Highcliff Marriott at Bournemouth.

Speakers
The Work Foundation has invited a range of major speakers.from all three parties. These include Don Foster and Vince Cable from the Liberal Democrats, John Denham and James Purnell from the Labour Party and David Willetts and Francis Maude from the Conservative Party.
